For the web hosting, email and domain services of AJ-Group (business ID 1891345-7, Lohja, Finland). Our servers are in Finland.
Your responsibility
- Your site, mailboxes and mailings are yours, and so is keeping them within the law.
- Keep WordPress, plugins and themes up to date, and use strong passwords.
- Keep your own copy of anything important.
Newsletters and bulk mail
- Send newsletters and marketing through a mailing service (MailPoet Sending Service, Mailchimp, Brevo…), never through our servers. We add the DNS records it needs.
- Private persons only with their prior consent (Act on Electronic Communications Services 917/2014, s. 200, and GDPR). Companies unless they have refused.
- No bought or scraped address lists.
- Every message shows who sent it and has a working unsubscribe link.
- At sign-up, say what people will get and how you use their data, and keep proof of their consent (double opt-in).
Personal data
- For personal data on your site or in your mailboxes, you are the controller and we are your processor (GDPR art. 28). We handle it only to run the service, keep it confidential and secured in Finland, and delete it when the service ends.
- We tell you without delay about a breach that affects your data. You then have 72 hours to report it to the Data Protection Ombudsman if it puts people at risk.
Suspension
- We may suspend a site or mailbox that is hacked, sends spam or malware, or shows clearly illegal content. We tell you why and restore it once it is fixed.
Reporting illegal content
- Write to contact@aj-group.net with the URL, why it is illegal, your name and email, and a statement that the report is accurate. We answer in Finnish, English or French.
- This is also our contact point under the EU Digital Services Act.
Liability and law
- No liability for indirect damage. Our liability is capped at three months of fees for the affected service, except for intent or gross negligence. Consumers keep their rights under mandatory law.
- Changes are announced by email 30 days ahead. Finnish law applies.
