Cookie policy
Last updated: 13 August 2026
One cookie, and it is a necessary one. We use no advertising, analytics or profiling cookies, and this site loads no resources from third-party servers — so no other party can set a cookie through it.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Related technologies — local storage, for instance — work similarly. Under the ePrivacy rules, consent is required for anything that is not strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for. Everything listed below is either strictly necessary or stored only on your own device.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
ajg_session |
Keeps your session: preview access, and the security token that protects the contact and newsletter forms against cross-site request forgery. | Strictly necessary | 14 days, or when you close the browser |
ajg-lang |
Remembers which language version of the site you are reading, so you are not sent back to a language you have already left. | Functional (user-interface preference) | 12 months |
The session cookie contains a random identifier only. It carries no name, no email address
and no record of what you looked at. The language cookie holds nothing but a two-letter
code — en, fr or fi — and is used for nothing else.
Local storage on your device
| Key | Purpose | Sent to us? |
|---|---|---|
ajg-theme |
Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. | No — never leaves your browser |
ajg-cookie-ack |
Remembers that you have already seen the cookie notice, so it is not shown again. | No — never leaves your browser |
Cookies we do not set
- No Google Analytics or any other analytics or statistics cookie.
- No advertising, remarketing or conversion-tracking cookie.
- No social media buttons, embedded videos or web fonts loaded from other companies.
- No cross-site profiling of any kind.
Because the site makes no third-party requests, there is no vendor list to manage and nothing to switch off.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the session cookie will prevent the contact and newsletter forms from submitting, since the security token they rely on is stored there.
To clear what this site has stored on your device, clear the site data for this domain in your browser, or use your browser’s privacy settings.
